POST PIN UP & HEROINES SERIE

Through this work I look for deconstructing the woman’s stereotyped image as a sexual passive object.
There is no doubt that the Pin Up is the best  paradigm to  show the  power of the men’s look on woman’s representation and its  effect in a society dominated by consumism and  “fast food”  images.
When I build those female pictures joining parts that sometimes look as disconnected, I look for breaking the chain of meanings established  by the masculinity and opening it into a constant become,   spreading  and opening it into a rhizomatic  net and offering it the opportunity to become an active subject more than a passive object.
When female pictures become “uncomfortable”,  men want to aniquilate them. When women go  beyond the desirable and passive grows in men his incapability to desire her and therefore control her.
What happen when the man puts  himself on the place of the woman? What happens to  the observer when he looks at these ambiguous images? The mechanism of desire is broken, there is something repulsive, monstrous and rough but at the same time sexy which generates contradictory feelings.
